does it work?
The EcoSmart® burner technique provides
heating through an open flame fuelled by an
environmentally friendly renewable energy
source (Methylated Spirits/Denatured
Ethanol).
Ethanol is pure alcohol, produced by the
fermentation of sugars originating from
agricultural and forestry products, mainly
sugarcane, potatoes, bananas, beetroot and
recently from cereals such as wheat.
The combustion of Ethanol 100% (also
called Ethyl Alcohol C2H5OH) results in a
clean emission: Heat, Steam and Carbon
Dioxide. Methylated Spirits is a denatured
(so that it is not consumed) version of
Ethanol that burns just as clean.
The volume of Ethanol burnt per hour
through our engineered burner allows its
safe use in houses/apartments. We therefore
do not require any type of flue/vent, any
form of permanent fixture or fitting,
gas/electrical connection. |
